FBCL Managing Attorney Lucy Lee in the East Bay Times Article

San Francisco immigration attorney Lucy Lee of Fallon, Bixby, Cheng & Lee, Inc., was recently interviewed and quoted by the East Bay Times for her role as the Director of the Northern California Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and American Immigration Council’s Celebrate America Creative Writing Contest, in which 5th graders write essays on the theme of “Why I Am Glad America is a Nation of Immigrants”. The top three regional winners were selected by the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services to read their essays at the August 17th U.S. Naturalization Ceremony in Oakland, CA. Lucy Lee said “the purpose of the essay contest, which is now in its 14th year, is to teach young students about immigration and what role immigration has played in shaping the country”, and “the hope is that they become young ambassadors for promoting immigration to their peers and anyone they come across in their everyday life as they go into the workplace as young adults, and they remember this as part of their upbringing.” The text of the article is accessible at: http://www.eastbaytimes.com/education/ci_30286732/piedmont-beach-elementary-students-read-essays-at-naturalization
