USCIS has suspended premium processing for H-1B extensions until July 27th
Both H-1B extensions of status with the same employer as well as H-1B change of employer petitions are affected by the USCIS’ policy. Without premium processing service, it may take between two weeks and several months before an H-1B holder may be placed on payroll with a new H-1B sponsoring employer depending on whether the employee starts working on the receipt or waits for the approval notice. USCIS will resume premium processing service on July 27th.
